BRG Newsletter March 3, 2015

The speaker today was Erin Briede with Paychex. Erin was born in Miami, and moved to Weston when she was seven years old. She majored in Family and Child Sciences at Florida State University. Once she graduated, she moved to Atlanta, and became a kindergarten teacher. After one year, she realized that that was not for her, and moved back to South Florida where she joined Paychex, and has been with the company for the past 7 years.

She currently lives in Cooper City with her husband, Paul, and their amazing 16-month-old son named Mason.
The company was founded in 1971 by B. Thomas Golisano, who took a $3,000 loan and with just one employee started Paychex to make payroll outsourcing easy and affordable for small businesses. Now in 2015, they have over 12,000 employees, about 100 office locations, with over two billion in revenue last year.

The company has more than 600,000 clients nationwide, and out of those 600,000 clients, about half of them have 10 employees or less.
Paychex, Inc. offers great customer service. All the clients are assigned to a local payroll specialist, which makes the relationship more personal. Paychex offers payroll processing, and outsourced human resources.

Thanks Erin, for all the useful information!
