Michael Kuehn was born a raised in Coral Gables. His father was born in Baltimore and moved down to Miami in 1946. His mother was born in Coconut Grove in 1923, so he truly is a rare native of Miami. He is the youngest of 5, with 2 brothers and 2 sisters.
He went off as a freshman to Colorado State University on a gymnastics scholarship but then transferred to Florida State University for his sophomore year, where he took up rugby and became a gymnastics coach. He moved back to Miami after a brief stay in North Carolina, and in 1986, he became a private investigator, and started Keen Investigations in 1992 that is still going strong.
He is the father of 2 beautiful girls, Rachel, who is a junior at USF and is studying to be a sign language interpreter and Hannah, who is a freshman at UF, and is an engineering major. He also is supported by his beautiful girlfriend Betty. Both love to travel whenever possible. Mike is an avid golfer. He joined Velocity Processing 2 years ago and enjoys being able to save his clients money on their processing fees in and being able to switch them over seamlessly.
In 2003, Jeff Davidson, started a merchant service company. He contacted Edward Steinberg, a business mogul who sold his company in 1997 to a New York Stock Exchange company and fully retired. With Eddie’s guidance, Jeff started Davidson Processing and began providing credit card processing services to local businesses. In 2008, they joined forces to create Velocity Processing. Jeff Davidson is the Co-Founder and CEO of Velocity Processing. He is jointly responsible for the company’s sales and operations, including end-to-end management of Velocity’s payment ecosystem. His area of specialization is the sophisticated analytical tools that are utilized to perform empirical analysis of merchant statements and the implementation of customized solutions. Edward Steinberg is also Co-Founder and Chairman of Velocity Processing. He is an expert at forging relationships and a visionary whose entrepreneurial mode creates innovation and breeds success. His mantra is that “business is about relationships”.
The company specializes in providing end-to-end electronic payment solutions. It has grown into an industry leader, winning a number of President’s Club awards and was recently recognized as the 2nd fastest growing ISO in the southeast United States by Elavon, Inc., a subsidiary of US Bancorp.
Velocity Processing offers effective rates, fraud prevention, processing fee reduction, next day funding, ensures data security and Payment Card Industry (PCI) compliance, and many more. I also provides and architecture that reduces downgrades and credit card processing expenditures.
